HEAT To Contribute

The HEAT New Mexico fund comes from donations from employees and customers who want to help New Mexicans in need and is administered by the Salvation Army. How much assistance we can provide is determined by how much customers and employees choose to donate.

If you want to help low-income New Mexicans pay their heating bill, you can contribute in the following ways:

  • Make a notation on the payment stub of your bill and send your donation with your payment.
  • Complete a pledge form to add any donation amount to your monthly gas bill. You can designate any dollar amount to be added or simply have your bill rounded up each month with the difference going to HEAT New Mexico.

If you are considering making a donation, here are a few important things to keep in mind:

  • Donations are tax deductible.
  • 100% of your donation will be used for assistance—NMGC covers all administrative costs for the program.
  • NMGC contributes $1.50 for every dollar donated to HEAT New Mexico*.

Thank you for your contribution! Together, we can make a difference in helping to keep families warm and safe each winter.

To apply for assistance, visit HEAT for Help on our website. For more information on HEAT New Mexico, contact us.

*NMGC matches donations at $1.50 for every dollar donated up to a maximum of $150,000 per program year. The program year renews each January.
